Carol A. Keenan, 87, of Collegeville, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 13, 2022. Born on January 4, 1935, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Isabel Andrien. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. Keenan.

Carol was a devout parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Royersford, where she started the Charismatic Prayer Group. She worked as the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Methacton School District until her retirement. Carol volunteered her time to the Phoenixville Cancer Center, where she lovingly became known as “the pretzel lady” when she brought in her weekly treats. She also volunteered with the YMCA and AARP. Carol loved going to the beach and gardening her many plants and flowers. Her great joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Keenan is survived by her children; Kevin Keenan, Isabel Patelunas, wife of Paul, Sean Keenan, husband of Elizabeth, and Christina Cummings, wife of John, sister; Audrey Walton, wife of the late Elton Walton, and grandchildren; Brian, Brandon, Ryan, Victoria, Andrew, Elizabeth, Daniel, Caroline, and Thomas. In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Andrien, and dear friend Doug Moser.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 9am-10:30am at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Royersford. Burial will follow in Fernwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carol’s name to The Cancer Center, 824 Main St, Suite 100, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
