Carolyn S. (Schneider) Fredericks, 78, of Limerick, passed away at home after a long battle with dementia. Born on May 6, 1945 in Mount Vernon, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Dorcas (Isham) Schneider.
Carolyn graduated in the Class of 1963 from Mount Vernon High School and then graduated from Austin Peay State University in 1966 with a degree in teaching. She taught in the Jefferson Township School District and was a private tutor and music instructor for many years.
She enjoyed playing her clarinet in the Franklin Band in NJ and with the Montgomery County Concert Band. She had also been a member of Trinity Lighthouse Church for many years.
Carolyn is survived by her husband: Calvin, of 56 years; daughter: Susan, wife of Brian Hackett, of Gilbertsville, PA; grandsons: Calvin and Ryan Hackett of Gilbertsville, Charles (Laura) Hackett of Shuqualak, MS, and Benjamin (Natalie) Hackett of Leander, TX; granddaughters: June and Kyseema Fredericks, of Philadelphia; great-granddaughter Jasiyah Johnson of Philadelphia; great-granddaughters Julie, Ellie and Maggie of Shuqualak, MS; brother: Gary, husband of Donna Schneider, of Canonsburg, PA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Wayne and Sharon Fredericks, of Gallatin, TN; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Ellen Fredericks; sister and brother-in-law: Judy and Vernie Curtis; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Robert and Dimma Fredericks.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11:00 am at Trinity Lighthouse Church, 66 S. Limerick Road, Royersford, PA 19468. Officiating will be Pastor Wayne Houck. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Carolyn's name to the Trinity Lighthouse Church at the address above. The family would like to thank Patient Care Hospice and the caregivers from Right at Home for their caring assistance during her last days at home.
