Carolyn Wilson (nee Kuhns), 85, Limerick, PA

Born in East Brady, PA on February 25, 1941, to the late Hugh C. Sr. and Lois Roberta (Thompson) Kuhns. Carolyn was a graduate of Clarion High School, Clarion, PA, and the Citizens General Hospital School of Nursing, New Kensington, PA. She was a career registered nurse and worked in several nursing roles: medical-surgical unit; emergency room; home health; operating room and short procedure unit. After retirement from hospital nursing, she worked as a nurse for an ophthalmology surgeon in Cranberry Township, PA until her marriage in 2008 to Dr. Charles Wilson, when she relocated to State College, PA.

Carolyn was an amazing seamstress and sewed everything from wedding gowns to draperies. She also enjoyed traveling with Charlie. Alaska, Hawaii and the Panama Canal were her favorite vacations. Family time meant everything to her, especially seeing her three great grandsons. She also enjoyed her daily drink of Dr. Pepper and loved dessert in any form!

Carolyn is survived by daughter, Leslie (Charles) Staab of Spring City; sons, James (Carrie) Chelko of Okemos, Michigan and David (Jayme) Chelko of Lower Burrell, PA; three grandchildren: Emily (Giuseppe) Picone of Spring City; Andrew "AJ" Chelko and Sarah Chelko, both of Michigan; and three great-grandsons, Luca, Giuliano and Matteo Picone, children of Emily and Giuseppe; Sister, Cheryl (William) Dechant of Middletown, PA and brother, Hugh Jr. (Deborah) Kuhns of Lucinda, PA; as well as several nieces, great nieces and great nephews.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her former husband, Albert J. Chelko, Jr. (2012) and her second husband, Dr. Charles Wilson (2020); as well as her grandson, Kenneth Andrew Staab (2016).

Friends and family will be received in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 9:30 am - 10:45 am, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA.
