Carsten H. Callesen, age 59, of Glenmoore, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 in the Paoli Hospital, Paoli, PA. Born on September 6, 1965 in Ã
rhus, Denmark, he was a son of the late Chresten Callesen and Helene Harder.

Carsten moved to Scotland in 1986, where he joined the Camphill Movement at Camphill Blair Drummond. By 1988, he attended the School of Eurythmy at Botton Village, England, where he earned his bachelor's degree. Carsten moved to Pennsylvania in 1992, where he remained until his passing.

Carsten was someone who was always at the heart of things at The Camphill School. Over his thirty plus years there, he was a teacher of movement, a caring house parent, a gentle therapist, an EMT and healer of physical ailments, Father, Grandfather (FarFar), and a friend to everyone.

Carsten touched so many in so many ways, and brought his joy, laughter, and social artistry into our lives every single day. We will remember him sitting on the deck outside Oakhill with his orange mug of coffee, welcoming the sun as it rose above our village, and helping all of us embrace the gift that each day brings.

Carsten is survived by two sons, Silvan Callesen, husband of Mereet Boutros and Shaan Callesen, along with their mother, Safina Alessandra; one grandson, Kai Peter Callesen; one brother, Gert Harder Callesen; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
