Catherine Elizabeth (Boegner) Damato, age 48, loving wife of Robert (Rob) J. Damato, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at the Fox Chase Cancer Center with her husband by her side. Known to all as Cathy, born on April 27, 1971 on an US Army Base in Bangkok, Thailand, was the daughter of Nicki Klybunlang and step-daughter of Vernon Baulier. Cathy was raised in New Jersey and attended various colleges throughout the country where she received multiple degrees. Cathy’s career began 29 years ago at IKEA where she rose through the ranks to the most recent role of Customer Relations Manager of North America, a job she loved and was very proud of. Many of her colleagues felt they were part of Cathy’s second family at IKEA. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and vacationing with her family, helping her daughters navigate through life and being a big part of her husband Rob’s and all her children’s lives. Cathy enjoyed listening to music, watching movies, especially comedies, and was known to have a love of spicy foods. Cathy cherished the time she spent with her loving husband and children. Cathy was a loving wife, mother, and dear friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Cathy’s smile and love of life was contagious. Her smile lit up a room and her positive energy inspired those around her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband Rob who she loved dearly, her true sole mate, she is survived by her daughters, Sara and Anna Meyer, her step son’s Marc and Kevin Damato, brother in law’s Ken and J.J. Damato, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Cathy to the Catherine E. Damato Memorial Fund C/O Phoenxville Federal Bank and Trust, 70 North Lewis Rd. Royersford PA. 19468. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford, Pennsylvania.
