Cecilia "Ceil" Wolfe, age 86, wife of the late Bob Wolfe, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Born on January 28, 1939, in Omaha, NE, she was a daughter of the late Clair J. and Mildred M. (Jensen) Kelso.
Ceil was a 1957 graduate of St. Mary's High School in David City, NE. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Saint Joseph's University. Ceil served as a dedicated teacher and social worker for a decade in Philadelphia and Mobile, AL. In the early to mid-1970s, she worked as a freelance writer for a local newspaper, covering Skippack and Schwenksville, and served as President of her local chapter of the League of Women Voters. Her later career path led to the sales offices of Synthane Taylor Corporation in Oaks, before retiring from Midlantic, Inc. in Trooper.
Ceil loved swimming, reading, listening to classical, jazz, and other music, and completing crossword puzzles. In her later years, she listened to audiobooks, took up gardening as a passion, and went for a daily walk through her neighborhood. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Ceil is survived by her daughter, Nettie Wolfe Silva; her grandson, Jamie Silva; her sister, Barbara Foltz; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends who were loved as family. She was preceded in death by her son, Frank K. Wolfe, and six siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Ceil's memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA, on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, PA. Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 - 10:30 AM at the funeral home on Friday. Following the burial, all are invited to join the family for lunch to continue sharing memories and celebrating Ceil's life.
