Charles L. Callen, age 68, husband of Helen C. (Parker) Callen, of Phoenixville, PA, formerly of Medford, MA, died Tuesday afternoon, April 9, 2013 in the Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville, PA after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Medford, MA, he was a son of the late Linus M. and Margaret E. (Clear) Callen. He was a 1962 graduate of the Malden Catholic High School, Malden, MA. Mr. Callen received his B.S. in finance from Boston College in 1966. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army from 1967- 69. He worked as a financial systems consultant and trainer for SunGard Financial Systems in Malvern, PA.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, Mr. Callen is survived by one son: Keith C. Callen, of Phoenixville, PA; two siblings: Mary P. Callen, of Melrose, MA; Paul J., husband of Linda Callen, of Manchester, NH; two grandsons: Aidan C. Callen, Shane A. Callen, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends will be received from 10;00 - 11:00 AM, Saturday morning at the funeral home.
