Charles A. Cox, Jr., Age 84, husband of the late Lorraine E. (Lightcap) Cox, of Royersford, PA died late Sunday evening, October 5th, 2014 in the Phoenixville Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Phoenixville, he was a 1948 graduate of the Phoenixville High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Cox worked for many years as a machinsit for the Synthane-Taylor Company. He then worked for a few years and the Genuardi Super Market. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles Fan. Mr. Cox was a life member of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford.
Mr. Cox is survived by four children: Linda S. Cox, of Phoenixville; Judith L, wife of Andrew Strock, of Spring City, PA; David A., husband of Mary Louise (Swierczewski) Cox, of Douglassville, PA; Cynthia A., wife of the late Thomas Heron, of Royersford, PA; one sister: Shirley A. Cox of Phoenixville, PA; six grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cox was pre-deceased by one son: Charles S. Cox; two grandchildren: Thomas M. Heron and Kelly L. Heron; three siblings: Margaret E. Jacob, Charlotte E. Hensley and Donald E. Cox.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday, October 9th, 2014 at 11:00AM. Burial will be in the St. Ann's Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 10-11AM Thursday morning at the funeral home.
