Charles M. Dero Sr., age 69, husband of Margaret B. (Moyer) Dero, of Warwick Township, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021 in the Reading Hospital. Born on April 25, 1951 in Coatesville, PA, he was a son of the late Charles M. and Bertha (Petro) Dero.

Mr. Dero was a graduate of the Coatesville Area High School, class of 1969. He worked as a maintenance engineer, first at Shryock Brothers in Downingtown, where he was the President of the Union, and later for QDI in Royersford, where he worked until his retirement. He loved spending time with his granddaughters, listening to country music, trying to win the lottery, and his daily trips to Wawa with his dog.

In addition to his wife of 32 years, Mr. Dero is survived by five children, Karen Ballantine, Charles M. Jr., husband of Tracy Dero of Boyertown, PA, Ann Marie, wife of Matthew Breitegam of West Lawn, PA, Jennifer Marie Dero of Adamstown, PA, and Angela, wife of Paul Schatz of Pottstown, PA; grandchildren, Nichole, C.J., Caitlin, and Kierstyn; two brothers and three sisters. He was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lie of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Diane's Donations to assist with animal rescue, 1486 S.
