Charles R. Dewey, age 54, husband of Alicia S. (Seibel) Dewey, of Phoenixville, PA died Friday, November 30, 2012. Born in Concord, MA, he was a son of the late Robert C. and Margaret E. (Maher) Dewey. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy serving on the submarine, USS Whale, as a machine mate from 1980-1985. He also served as a judge of elections in Phoenixville. Mr. Dewey worked for Acme markets for many years.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Dewey is survived by two daughters: Jeanette M. Dewey and Rachel M. Dewey, both at home in Phoenixville; five siblings: Martha (Charles) Bergren, Thomas (Stephanie) Dewey, James (Lisa) Dewey, Maura (the late Charles) Dombroski, Paul (Ronna) Dewey, and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday morning, December 5th, 2012 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the "Charles R. Dewey Memorial Fund", C/O Citizens Bank, 510 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460, which will be used to further the education of his daughters.
