Charles A. "Art" Faddis, age 95, husband of the late Margaret (Campbell) Faddis, of Phoenixville, PA died Saturday morning, April 30, 2011 in the Golden Living Center, Phoenixville, PA. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Arthur and Gertrude (Hampton) Faddis Cox. He was a 1935 graduate of the Phoenixville High School. Mr. Faddis is one of the last living members of 1934 Phoenixville football team that was referred to as the "Phantoms" by a Philadelphia sports writer. The Phoenixville High school mascot from that point on was referred to as the "Phoenixville Phantoms". Mr. Faddis worked for over 31 years at the West Company in Phoenixville, retiring in 1978. He was an avid bowler, bowling at the 422 Limerick Bowl and the Phoenix Lanes.

Mr. Faddis is survived by one daughter; Peggy, wife of Richard Wallence, of Phoenixville, one sister; Thelma Hopple, of North Carolina, Five Grandchildren; Karen, wife of Scott Strunack, Rhonda, wife of Timothy Koren, Dana, wife of Darren Rosenblum, Michael and Douglas Faddis, eight great grandchildren; Ashley Koren, Matthew Koren, Robert Koren, Rachael Rosenblum, Kyle Rosenblum, Ryan Rosenblum, Nicholas Strunack, Harrison Strunack, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Faddis was pre-deceased by one son; Commander Walter H. Faddis, one sister; Mildred "Sis" Brango, one brother; Walter "Boob" Faddis, one step-brother; Wayne Jones.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 2:00PM. Officiating will be the Rev. David A. Jones. Burial will be held privately in the St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Friends will be received from 1:00 - 2:00PM Thursday afternoon at the funeral home.
