Charles R. Ibach, age 82, husband of Marjorie (Peiffer) Ibach, of Lower Pottsgrove, formerly of Royersford, PA, died early Sunday morning, April 5, 2009 in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Royersford, he was a son of the late Charles D. and Sylvia Pearl (Wismer) Ibach. He attended the former Royersford High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the Brownback's United Church of Christ in Spring City for a number of years. He held various position's at the Church. Mr. Ibach worked as a carrier for the Royersford Post office for over 27 years before retiring in 1986. He also volunteered his time for the Project Outreach program in Royersford for many years. He enjoyed gardening and music.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Mr. Ibach is survived by three children; Gary S. Ibach of VA, Susan C., wife of Dennis F. Shope of Limerick, Judy L, wife of Steve M. Grabowski, of NC, thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ibach was pre-deceased by one daughter; Nancy B. Gossger, and one son; Donald L. Ibach.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Brownback's United Church of Christ, 640 Ridge Road, Spring City, PA 19475, on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank L. Lamson. Interment will follow in the Brownback Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Church.
