Charles S. Loomis, age 97, husband of Shirley May (Lamborn) Loomis, of Honey Brook, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Tel-Hai Community. Born on April 16, 1925 in Nantmeal Village, Chester County, he was a son of the late Lora P. (Garvine) and Allen John Loomis.

After graduating high school, Charles served in the United State Army PFC Infantry Company 1, 315th Infantry Regiment, 79th Division from August 24, 1943 until his discharge on January 13, 1946. For his honorable service, Charles was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the Distinguished Unit Badge, the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 4 Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.

He had been employed for many years at the former Jones Motor Company in Spring City until his retirement.
