Charles J. Trunks Jr., 73, of Phoenixville, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2009, in his residence. Born in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of the late Charles J. Trunks Sr. and Lucille Trunks.
Mr. Trunks was a graduate of Radnor High School and then served in the United States Army. He was employed by AT&T, Bell Atlantic, and finally Verizon as a linesman and supervisor. After his retirement, he was a consultant and trainer for Verizon.
He was a member of the Malvern Retreat, loved to ride his motorcycle, enjoyed skiing and was an avid sports fan. He especially loved his grandchildren.
Mr. Trunks is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann, wife of John Ashburn, of Phoenixville, Lucy, wife of Neal Gold, of Englewood, CO, two sons, Charles J. Trunks III, of Camarillo, CA, and Christopher, husband of Juli Trunks, of Lucas, TX, 6 grandchildren, Jack, Mckenzie, Ellese, Jordan, Sydney, and Hayley
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns. Interment will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Chapel.
