Obituary

Charlotte Ella (Swope) Leonard, age 95, wife of the late Herbert C. Leonard, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in the Frederick Living Community. Born in Luthersburg, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Florence (Seyler) Swope.

Mrs. Leonard was a graduate of Brady Township High School. She worked for Spring City Knitting Company from 1951-1978. From 1978-1984, she moved to Largo, FL. Mrs. Leonard was a member of the Royersford Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active and taught Sunday School. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and crafting. She loved to spend time with and take care of her family.

Mrs. Leonard is survived by three daughters, Joyce Helmick of Spring City, Barbara, wife of Elmer Knapp of Collegeville, and Doris, wife of Stephen Russell of New Enterprise, PA; three sons, Samuel, husband of Edna Leonard of New Providence, PA, Lynn, husband of Evelyn Leonard of Newmanstown, PA, and Keith, husband of Sandra Leonard of Perkiomenville; twenty grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Ruth Wing, Mildred Huey, Elva Swope, and Donald Swope.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Royersford Church of the Nazarene, 445 Washington Street, Royersford on Monday, May 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Larry Powell and Rev. Paul Thornhill. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford on Sunday evening, May 5, 2013 from 6:00-7:30 PM, or at the Church Monday morning from 9:30-10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Compassionate Ministries, Global Treasury Services, Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 843116, Kansas City, MO 64184.
