Christine C. (Convery) Clancy, of Phoenixville, died on Saturday morning at the age of 76.? She was married for fifty-two years to the late Frank M. Clancy, Jr., who died in August of 2006.?
She was born in Upper Darby to the late John M. and Anna D. (Dagit) Convery.? Mrs. Clancy graduated from Rosemont College with a B.A. in English in 1953.? She and Frank raised their family in Wayne , PA and Hudson , OH .? She was a Docent for the Stan Hywet Hall, Akron , OH and most recently with the Philadelphia Art Museum Park Houses.? She was also a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and was involved with the prayer group. For many years she was also a member of the Arch-confraternity of the Christian Mothers.?
She is survived by daughters Chris Ann and Peter Myers, of Phoenixville, Patricia and Robert Kiefner, of Concord, NH and Mary Kate Clancy, of Munroe Falls, OH; sons, F. Michael and Lynn Clancy, of Stow, OH and James and Laura Clancy, of Arlington, VA; sister, Mari Jo and Robert Kuhn, of Sun City Center, FL; brother, John M. Jr. and Eileen Convery, of Naples, FL; six grandchildren, Christy (Myers) and Matt Baxter, of Phoenixville, R. Scott, Thomas and James Kiefner, of Concord, NH, Padraig and Liam Clancy, of Arlington, VA; great-granddaughter, Cate Baxter; sister-in-law, Eileen F. (Clancy) Kearney, of Penn Valley, PA; brother-in-law, Neil F. Clancy, of Jacksonville, FL and many nieces and nephews.?
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday at 10 AM at St. Ann Church , Main Street at Third Avenue , Phoenixville , PA. ? Officiating will be the Rev. John J. Newns.? Burial will follow in St. Denis Cemetery .? Visitation will be on Friday from 7-8:30 PM at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 S. Main Street , Phoenixville.?
