Clair R. "Dick" Powley, 83, husband of Vonna J. (Emerick) Powley, of Troy, PA, formerly Oaks, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 in his residence. Born on February 19, 1934 in Tyrone, PA, he was the son of the late Russell and Ida Mae (Gonzales) Powley.
Dick served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam war. He was employed by Emery Oil, in Kimberton, where he drove an oil tanker, and heavy equipment operator.
In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Powley is survived by his children: Brenda McCann, of Birdsboro, Tiena Powley, of Collegeville and Raymond Powley of Troy; grandson: Raymond McCann, his wife Nichole McCann; sisters: Audrey Swanger, Pearl Dudenhefer, and Dolly Warring. He was preceded in death by his brother George Powley.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside service at the Philadelphia Memorial Park, 124 Phoenixville Pike, Frazer, PA on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Officiating will be the Rev. Ralph W. Owens. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville, PA.
