Claire (Elsesser) O'Connell, 92, wife of the late Edward O'Connell, of Collegeville, passed away on Thursday, August 05, 2010, in the Parkhouse Providence Pointe. Born in Coatesville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary Ellen (Callahan) Elsesser.

Mrs. O'Connell was a homemaker and spent her entire life in the Collegeville area. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and reading. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother and caregiver to all.

She is survived by her daughter, Colleen wife of Jeffrey Madden of Royersford, two sons, Jack husband of Francine Bachman of South Carolina and Frank wife of Joan Bachman of Collegeville, ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and longtime companion John Allison. Mrs. O'Connell was one of nine children and was the last surviving sibling.
