Clarence S. Carl, age 85, loving husband of 62 years to Joan (Spieth) Carl, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 2, 2019 in Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital. Born on April 11, 1933 in Spring City, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Clarence and Rahama (Deeds) Carl. Clarence lived most of his single life in Parker Ford when his mother had passed away at a young age. He and his brothers were raised by his grandmother Weaver. His father would go on to re marry Mary Folweiler, and his step sister Ruth would join the family. Clarence attended school in Spring City and would later go on to work with plumbing, heating, and electrical for Robert Sollinger. After his work with Mr. Sollinger he went on to work for B.F Goodrich for 23 years until they closed; Clarence would later retire with the Spring Ford School District. Mr. Carl also served his country proudly with the U.S Army in Korea. In his spare time he enjoyed going to auctions and sales, and collected arrow heads and would frame them as a hobby. He was also a dedicated member of the American legion post 602, and a dedicated parishioner of the St. Johns Lutheran Church.

In addition to his loving wife Joan, Mr. Carl is survived by his son, Gary (Bonnie) Carl; and two Sisters, Dorothy Rupert, and Ruth Harrington.

Clarence was pre deceased by his two brothers, Joseph Carl, and Albert Carl; one sister, Mae Bechtel; and his son, Douglas Carl.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Krommes. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 9:15 am 10:15 am Thursday at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Memorial Wreath Fund, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
