Clarence S. Smith Jr., 79, of East Coventry, husband of the late H. Jane Smith, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2011, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late Clarence S. Sr. and Gertrude (Savage) Smith.

Mr. Smith was employed and retired from the Spring City Knitting Company. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and working on the family farm.

He is survived by his children: Mary Jane, wife of Mark Chase, of Reisterstown, MD, and Karl S. Smith, of East Coventry, three grandchildren: Matthew Smith and Sarah and Rebecca Chase.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Friday, January 28, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Kolb officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Spring City. Friends will be received from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
