Obituary

Corinne Ruth Johnson, age 71, wife of Wayne A. Johnson, of Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, in Reading Hospital after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loving immediate family and friend, Karen Shanta. Born on April 25, 1951, in Bogotá, Colombia, she was the daughter of the late Ruth (Roberts) Clark and Carleton Clark of Allison Park, PA.

A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Corinne was an owner and teacher at Little People's Nursery School in Allison Park, PA. She continued her love for teaching as a substitute teacher for Phoenixville Area School District before entering the pharmaceutical industry in various roles until she retired.

Corinne had a true 60s spirit and was a lover of people, all living things and nature. She enjoyed gardening, time spent at the beach, listening to the ocean waves, visiting lighthouses and watching sunrises and sunsets. She had a passion for capturing the outdoors through photography, collecting seashells and rocks, enjoyed creek walks and taking in the sounds of rain and storms. Corinne also loved cooking, entertaining, listening and dancing to music, reading James Patterson and like novels and watching mystery television series. She was loved and admired by those who knew her well and strangers alike, a unique and memorable person full of fire and passion. Most important, however, was her love for her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

In addition to her loving husband, grandchildren, extended family and dear friends, Corinne is survived by her three children: Lauren Corinne Johnson-Dolan and husband Sean of Spring City, PA, Wayne Carleton Johnson of Mt. Holly, NC, and Caitlin Jayne Johnson of Phoenixville, PA; two brothers, Damon Clark and wife Sue, and Glenn Clark, both of Allison Park, PA.

A celebration of life will be held by the family in the future with further details to come. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Corinne's name to Phoenixville Community Education Foundation (https://www.pcefonline.com/), the Phoenixville Library (https://phoenixvillelibrary.org/), or Mom's House of Phoenixville (https://www.momshouse-phoenixville.org/).
