Cynthia (Mady) McCarthy, 74, of Oaks, PA, passed away on Wednesday, October 5 surrounded by loving family. Born on October 22, 1947, she was the third of five children to the late Edward and Loretta (Rakowski) Mady.

Cindi was a 1965 graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School and a graduate of Northeastern University earning a degree in Management Information Systems. Following her early professional career where she was involved in data analysis and the onset of computing, she went on to be the founder, owner, and Executive of a specialized accounting and professional services automation company. For more than 30 years, she passionately nurtured the growth and success of her company. Anyone that worked with Cindi saw her creative intellect. Her true passion was the love for family, friends, and her pets. Cindi was charismatic and bold. She brought spontaneity and liveliness to everything she did and had a unique ability to keep everyone connected and up to date within her extended family. Cindi enjoyed social outings especially with close friends, and an 'occasional' trip to the casino, especially with her lifelong friend Molly. She was involved with and supported charities like Habitat for Humanity and also enjoyed animal rescue and support of veteran organizations.

A devoted wife, Cindi was preceded in death by her first husband William (Bill) McCarthy and second husband Alexander (Alex) Nitsch; sister, Aleece Hanlon, and brothers-in-law, Greg Hanlon and Charles (Skip) Miller. She is survived by stepchildren, Dietrich (Dieter) Nitsch and Natalie, wife of Fran Sudall; her step-grandchildren, Brent, Hayden, Lainey, and Cade; sisters, Carole Miller and Loretta, wife of Patrick (Pat) O'Hara, and brother, Edward (Ed) Mady, husband of Nancy.

Cindi will be most remembered for the love she had for those that she held near and dear, all her family and dearest and close friends, colleagues, and employees.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her prayer service, with a time for sharing, remembrance, and celebration at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 6:00 pm. The prayer service will be led by Rev. Henry Graebe. Friends will be received from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. A private burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery, Pottsville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Susan G.
