Daniel Patrick Owad, age 69, of Douglassville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, in the Reading Hospital. Born on October 30, 1955, in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Dorothy (Novasel) and Peter Owad Sr.

A Class of 1975 graduate of Perkiomen High School, Danny worked as a mechanic for over 45 years at North Penn Transfer, White Circle and most recently at Del Val International until his retirement. Prior to 1981, he drove school bus for Romano's Bus Co., in Plymouth Meeting, where the children loved and adored him because of his shining personality and without fail, his decoration of his bus for every holiday.

Danny enjoyed fishing, bowling, and singing Karaoke with his brothers. He was good at working with his hands and oftentimes could be found completing outdoor projects. He loved playing board games with family and especially loved outdoor games such as horseshoes, quoits, and cornhole.

He loved telling his jokes and making people laugh. Most importantly, Danny was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone with anything that they needed.

Danny is survived by his children: Danielle M. Hagner and Steven M. (Lindsay) Owad; step-children: Joshua (Erin) Ketchum and Courtney (Chris Haas) Ketchum, companion: Jean Evans; grandchildren: Emily and Carter Hagner, Morgan, Hayden, and Tyler Owad, Claire and Evelyn Ketchum, and Elijah Haas; his twin brother: David (Linda) Owad; and siblings: Michael (Susan) Owad, Pete (Lori) Owad, Theresa (Joe) Tomchick, Dorothy (Rodney) Kirkner, and Kathy Pierson. He was preceded in death by a sister: Patricia Owad.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville. Officiating will be the Rev. David Kubczak. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Danny's name to Monarch Fire Company, 50 Pennsylvania Avenue, Douglassville, PA 19518, where he was a longtime member and developed many relationships over the years.
