David R. Bertolet's Obituary
David R. Bertolet, age 65, husband of Deborah (Davis) Bertolet, of North Coventry, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Fox Chase Cancer Center, Philadelphia. Born on August 15, 1957 in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Virginia (Evans) and Clyde A. Bertolet Jr.
A 1975 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, Dave recently retired from EP Henry in Parkerford as a heavy equipment operator. He loved farming and worked on several farms around the area, where he enjoyed working the fields, riding the tractors, being around the animals and of course, the heavy equipment.
Dave would enjoy birdwatching, loved to shoot recreationally and loved his dogs: Daisy and Dutchess, and cat: Zeke. Most importantly, he loved time spent with his grandchildren and around family.
He enjoyed sitting on the back deck with family for cookouts and time spent at the beach, especially on trips to Jamaica with Deborah. Dave could often be found throwing the football or playing basketball with his grandchildren and especially loved swimming in his pool with the grandkids, where he was always squirting them with water.
In addition to his loving wife, Dave is survived by his children: Kenny Bertolet, Katie L. Bertolet and Debra L. Cook; grandchildren: Abel, Alexander, Tyler & Carleigh; and brothers: Gary R. Bertolet and Glenn A. (Rhonda) Bertolet.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, April 14, 2023, at 11:00 am at Coventry Church of the Brethren, 946 Keen Road, Pottstown, PA. Officiating will be the Rev. Mark Muthler. Friends will be received from 9:45 - 10:45 am at the Church.
