David A. Bloomer, Sr., age 90, of Phoenixville, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2007, in the Phoenixville Hospital.? He was the husband of the late Dorothy "Dottie" (Bristow) Bloomer.? Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Howard T. and Harriet A. (Smoyer) Bloomer.?
Mr. Bloomer was a 1935 graduate of Phoenixville High School.? He was employed as a machinist in Norristown.? Mr. Bloomer was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was in the Young At Heart senior group.? He served in the United States Army during World War II. ??He enjoyed reading, traveling, woodworking, and tinkering with clocks, and was an avid sports fan following the Phillies and Eagles. ?????
Mr. Bloomer is survived by, daughter Deborah E. Bloomer, wife of Valeri F. Frees, sons, David A., Jr., husband of Susan (Seifer) Bloomer, of Everett, WA and Charles H. Bloomer, of San Carlos, Mexico, four grandchildren, Courtnay Bloomer, Garrett Bloomer, Jeremy Bloomer and Jessica, wife of Kevin Doscher, and three grandpets Cocoa, Bosco, and Rocky.?
