David D. "Ike" Eisenhauer, age 66, of Royersford, PA died suddenly of natural causes on April 7, 2012 at home. Born in Royersford, he was a son of Ruth Cottrell of Royersford, and the late Elvin E. Eisenhauer.
Mr. Eisenhauer was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School. He worked for many years for the American Baptist Churches in King of Prussia, retiring in January of 2012. He was a member of the Humane Fire Company for many years. He served as Fire Chief from 1981-82, 1989-93. Mr. Eisenhauer was also a member of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford. He worked as a bartender at Tom's Bar in Royersford for many years.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Eisenhauer is survived by three sons, Mark Eisenhauer of Reading, PA, David K., husband of Brittney Y. (Cannady) Eisenhauer of Royersford, and Shayne M. Eisenhauer of Philadelphia; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy A. Hefelfinger.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, April 11 from 6:30-8:30 PM or on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Marsh. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Royersford Fire Department, 269 Green Street, Royersford, PA 19468.
