David R. Kocher Sr., age 71, husband of Valerie A. (Krasley) Kocher, of Morgantown, PA, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Schuylkill. Born on September 27, 1949 in Bloomsburg, PA, he was a son of the late Ernest Sr. and Phyllis (Wagner) Kocher.

Mr. Kocher was a graduate of Schwenksville High School, and he received his Associates degree from the Montgomery County Community College. He served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an electrician for many years. Mr. Kocher enjoyed collecting many different items, including toys and trains. He proudly played Santa Claus for over 15 years, visiting many of the local area schools and hospitals.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Kocher is survived by one daughter, Heather, wife of Zahid Khan of Bellevue, WA, David R. Jr., husband of Victoria Kocher of Elverson, PA, and Steven J. Kocher of Morgantown, PA; three brothers, Ernest Jr., husband of Jean Kocher of Birdsboro, PA, John Kocher of Boyertown, PA, and Phillip, husband of Vicki Kocher of Nescopeck, PA; and eight nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one step-son, Bradley Musser.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Vietnam Veterans of America, 8719 Colesville Road, Suite 100, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
