David E. Payton, age 68, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024. Born in Columbus, OH, he was the Son of Dolores (Nolen) Payton and Walter Payton.

David enjoyed photography, fishing, hunting and played guitar in his younger years. He had a strong work ethic and would always be tinkering with watches, glasses and anything he could. He will be remembered for being kind hearted and his gracious personality.

He is survived by his daughter Heather Payton, his three Grandchildren Bernadette Payton, Geraud DeHaven Jr., Kylee DeHaven, his four Great Grandchildren DaMarr Jr., Cayden, Messiah, Zy'mir and his Best Friend Mike Bancroft. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Payton, Dolores (Nolan) Payton, and his brother Walter Payton Jr.
