Denis A. McCormick, age 67, companion of 30 years to Carolyn M. Lightcap, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at home. Born on April 2, 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of Rita (Pierangeli) Long and the late Gerald McCormick.

Denis was a graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School, and he received his associate's degree from the University of Alabama. He worked as a compounder for Wyeth before transitioning to pharmaceutical sales for Baxter. He then went on to work as a bartender in the social rooms of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company, the West End Fire Company in Phoenixville, the Friendship Fire Company in Phoenixville, and the Phoenixville VFW Post 1564. He was an avid sports fan, and he loved the Eagles and Phillies.

Denis is survived by two children, Ian McCormick, companion of Dominique Hudson and Cara Lightcap, companion of Matt Herzog; three grandchildren, Zeign, John, and Barrett; two siblings, Helene, wife of Jim Dolente and Jerry, husband of Angela McCormick; and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 12:00 pm. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm in the funeral home on Saturday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to any animal rescue of your choosing.
