Dennis J. Bodor Sr., age 70, of South Coventry Township, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, peacefully at his son's residence. Born on February 21, 1952, in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Lillian (Garner) and Paul Bodor.
Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School. He honorably served in the D Company, 547th Engineer Battalion, United States Army during the Vietnam War and received a Certificate of Excellence for the outstanding job in helping to eliminate a potentially dangerous situation in the Jefferson Village Dependent Housing Area.
Dennis was a machinist and had been employed with Bud Company, Imperial Specialty, Neapco and most recently Dana Corporation until his retirement. He enjoyed old cars, and his favorite was his '57 Chevy, which he regretted daily of its sale. Dennis was an avid Philadelphia sports fan, especially of the Eagles and Flyers.
He was a simple, quiet, and gentle man of few words. He enjoyed listening to CCR and Santana, fishing with his boys, sitting outside around the firepit with family, time spent with his granddaughters, and his Wawa coffee.
Dennis is survived by his sons: Timothy, husband of Dana Bodor and Dennis, Jr., husband of Danielle Bodor; granddaughters: Sabrina, Madison, Lauren, and Sydney; brother: Paul Bodor, Sr.; nieces: Tracy Cairns, Nicole Sutterby, and Monique Cole; and nephews: Norris Richards, III and Paul Bodor, Jr. He was preceded in death by siblings: Martha Richards, Robert Bodor, and Mary Bodor.
