Dennis J. Sears, age 56, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at home. Born on January 9, 1968 in Fort Pierce, FL, he was a son of Donald R. Clavette and the late Lavon (Sears) Clavette.

Dennis worked for Van Eerden Coatings Co. in Fort Washington, specializing in commercial painting, a job her thoroughly enjoyed and found solace in. Dennis had a passion for motorcycles, and he enjoyed watersports including surfing, waterskiing and diving. Dennis spent much of his time in Valley Forge Park, where he enjoyed the peace and quiet. Dennis also had a deep love for his dogs, who were his world. He leaves behind Reese, and joins Layla, who passed just one month ago.

Dennis is survived by three siblings, Vinson Clavette, Angel, wife of Doug Davidson, and Dorie Andrews; niece and nephews, Cassondra, Blake, Ethan, and Maclin; great-niece, Luna; his Uncle and Aunt, who helped raise him, Hugh Grimes, husband of the late Mary Grimes; and his cousin Trampas Stewart.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Philly Bully Team, 3301 Hayes Rd, Norristown, PA 19403.
