Denton Kent Stoudt, age 83, of Audubon, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026 in the Einstein Medical Center Montgomery. Born in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Virginia M. (Hodgkins) and Albert M. Stoudt.
Denton is survived by his children, Timothy Stoudt, Catherine Stoudt; his siblings Nancy Miller, Fred Stoudt; his Granddaughter Mackenzie Stoudt; and his Longtime Beloved Companion Ida Mae Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Virginia Stoudt.
Denton (Denny) graduated from Phoenixville High School and attended Temple University studying Music. He served honorably with the United States Army where he was a Member of the U.S. Army Band and various Honor Guards. Denny worked as a Machinist at Dana Corporation in Pottstown until his retirement.
Denny had a passion for music. He played Trumpet for all his life, playing in many bands, ensembles, and church groups. He created and co-produced a CD of his memorable works titled "9 by 2". He was a longtime member of Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kimberton, PA where he sang in the choir and played his trumpet. Denny enjoyed reading and learning about new topics, especially historical events, and talking with others about them. He was a Bluebird enthusiast, learning everything he could about their ethology and habitat, as well as maintaining and monitoring nesting boxes at his home. Denny was a Phillies fan. He supported the team in good times and bad over the years and enjoyed listening to and watching their games.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Rd, Kimberton, PA 19442, on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at 10 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Ian Clements. Relatives and friends will be received from 9 am - 10 am Saturday, September 26,2026 at Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made directly to Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, http://centenniallutheran.org/donate .
