We are sad to announce that Diana K. Taylor, age 89, long-time resident of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Wesley Enhanced Living - Pennypack Park, in Philadelphia, PA. Born on November 24, 1933 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Philip J. Jr. and Clarice J. Krewett. She grew up in Philadelphia and Laurel Springs, NJ.

Diana was a graduate of Haddon Heights High School in New Jersey. She and her high school sweetheart, the late Richard H. Taylor, were married in 1951. They lived in several places before finally settling in Phoenixville, where they lived for 54 years. Diana was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who took joy in creating and observing beauty around her - in her home, in her artwork and in her writing. She was an accomplished artist, working in multiple mediums including oil, acrylic and watercolor paints, pastels, and fabric. She was a talented poet, writing poems which are very evocative of her beloved home and the surrounding natural spaces, and which reflect her spirituality. She was also a skillful seamstress, making her own clothes from an early age. She applied those skills to create costumes for Forge Theater in Phoenixville. Diana was a past member of the Phoenixville Human Relations Council. For over 50 years, Diana was a devoted practitioner of transcendental meditation and worked tirelessly on her spiritual growth.

Diana is survived by three children: Denise P., wife of Joseph Tucker, Stephen P., husband of Holly Taylor, and Susan Fanelli; five grandchildren, Julian Tucker, Jacob Taylor, Zoe Taylor, Andrea Fanelli and Christina Fanelli; two sisters, Katherine Radbill, wife of John Pourchot and Jane, wife of William Derenbecher; and a niece and nephew, Janet Schroeder and Philip Derenbecher. She was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Lee Krewett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her inurnment at the Columbarium Garden at St. John's, 355 St. John's Circle, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
