Dolores J. Hytha, age 95, wife of the late Robert J. Hytha of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 in the Spring Mill Senior Living, Phoenixville, PA. Born on January 15, 1929 in Beaver Falls, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Ruth (Klein) Howman.
Mrs. Hytha attended schools in Eastvale, PA, and she received her bachelor's degree in Art History from Villanova University. For many years, she worked as the rental manager for the Main Line Berwyn Apartments.
Mrs. Hytha shared 60 years of marriage to her husband Robert before his passing in 2013. Her love and affection for him and their family led her all across the country throughout the years, wherever life and work took them. As a snowbird, they spent 35 winters in Florida, where they could be nearer to their daughter and enjoy walks on the beach.
Mrs. Hytha volunteered much of her time at the Neighborhood League Shop in downtown Wayne. She was an avid gardener and nature lover, where she often took walks and hikes. She enjoyed completing puzzles and had an impressive collection of antique dolls.
She was a beautiful, smart, strict, fair, compassionate and considerate soul who will be missed dearly by all.
Mrs. Hytha is survived by five children, Robert J., husband of Elizabeth Hytha, Mark E. Hytha, Kathleen A. Smith, Gregory T., husband of Linda Hytha, and Joseph D., husband of Jean Hytha; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and two nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Howman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for Mrs. Hytha on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 am at the New Story Church, 110 Valley Park Road, Phoenixville, PA.
