Donald D. Donovan, age 63, husband of the late Darlene D. (Kay) Donovan, of Norristown, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at home. Born on August 10, 1957 in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of Shirley (Strohl) Yanchek, wife of the late Edward Yanchek and companion of Robert Henzler Sr.

Donald attended Spring-Ford High School and then served honorably in the United States Navy . He had worked in the warehouse for Fleming Foods, Construction with Alan Meyers, Inc. and most recently at Parke Town Beverage, before recently retiring. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his daughters. He played in several adult softball leagues, and was an avid Philadelphia and Penn State sports fan. He was a racing enthusiast, attending Nascar and dirt track races throughout the years. A member of the Reading Motorcycle Club, he loved riding his motorcycle and loved his tattoos.

In addition to his mother, Donald is survived by three daughters, Jacqueline C. Donovan, fiancé of Steven McAvoy of Phoenixville, PA, Erica M. Donovan, fiancé of Julie Parker of Lansdale, PA, and Kimberly A. Donovan, wife of the late Michael C. Kohl of Phoenixville, PA; six grandchildren, Lillie M. Ewing, Alexa M. Hallman, Kennedy R. Donovan, Mason C. Kohl, Kyleigh A. Kohl, and Roman A. McAvoy; one step-daughter, Crystal L. Dolby of Norristown, PA and her children Austin, Jeremiah, and Elijah Dolby; and one sister, Lisa, wife of David Heron of Coatesville, PA. He was preceded in death by two siblings, Anita and Michael.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial ceremony at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, October, 20th , 2020 at 5:00PM. Officiating will be Rev. Jack A. Mason. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 4:00PM - 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Those attending are requested to wear their favorite Penn State or sports themed attire, as Don always enjoyed his sports. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, Bldg. 0-47, Fort Indiantown Gap, Annville, PA 17003.
