Donald C. Garrett, age 78, of Kimberton, Pennsylvania, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 in the Camphill Village Kimberton Hills. Born on December 31, 1939 in New York, New York, he was a son of the late Robert and Sarah (MacLachlan) Garrett.

Don had been a resident of Camphill Village for 28 years. Prior to becoming a full-time resident, he would often spend his Summer vacations in the Village, where he took great pride in gardening and tending to his vegetable garden. He had a fascination for trains, and before moving to the Village, Donald worked as a courier for Charrette, commuting by train from Hingham to Boston. He loved the job! He taught himself to play the organ, a hobby he loved. He had his own organ in Kimberton, and while living in Hingham, MA, he would visit the Episcopal Parish of St. John, where he and the church organist would spend time playing together.

Don is survived by one brother, Peter C., husband of Ruth Garrett of Southbury, CT; and two nephews, Scott C. Garrett, husband of Emily and their daughters Leah and Avery of Westbrook, ME and Jonathan C. Garrett, husband of Annmarie, and their children Emma, Jillian and Cameron of Northford, CT.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at Camphill Christian Community-Kimberton Hills, 1601 Pughtown Road, Kimberton, Pennsylvania on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 5:00 pm. Officiating will be Rev. Nora Minassian. A graveside service will take place at a later date in the Memorial Garden of St. John's Episcopal Church, Hingham, MA.
