Donald H. Judy, 84, husband of Mary Ann (Kocur) Judy, of Royersford, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in Seasons Hospice. Born on October 22, 1933 in Reading, he was the son of the late Evelyn (Baum) Speilman and the late Homer Judy.
Donald served as an airman in the United States Navy from 1951-1954 during the Korean War. He had been employed as a lab technician at the former Diamond Glass in Royersford and then factory worker at Superior Tube before retiring.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf and watching sports, especially the Phillies and Eagles, was a former coach for the Spring-Ford Youth Athletic League and Babe Ruth baseball, and while living in Philadelphia played basketball at Northeast High School with Guy Rodgers and once played against Wilt Chamberlain. Donald also enjoyed cooking, traveling, trips to the casinos and card games with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Judy is survived by his children: Debra L. Judy, of Royersford, Donald A., husband of Laura Judy, of Endicott, NY and Dennis P., husband of Kathryn Judy, of Myerstown; grandchildren: Megan Judy, Heather Judy, Annabelle Judy, Chase Judy and Josh Fritz. He was preceded in death by his sister: Lois Panoc.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Walnut Street and Lewis Road, Royersford, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Tadeusz Gorka. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. At the family's request, please do not send flowers, instead please make a contribution in Donald's name to any veteran's organization of your choosing.
