Donald Lee Kandler, age 59, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013 in the Philadelphia VA Medical Center. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna Agnes (Cushman) Kandler.
Mr. Kandler was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School, and was a long-time mechanic at Keyser Miller Ford in Collegeville. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Era, receiving the National Defense Service Medal. He was a member of the American Legion Post #602 in Spring City, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Donald is survived by one daughter, Crystal A., wife of Kenneth McMillan of Spring City; two sisters, Joanne Kandler of Millsboro, DE and Jane, wife of Lonnie Roth of Oak Orchard, DE; three brothers, Joseph T., husband of Pat Kandler of Pottstown, James D., husband of Helen Kandler of Oak Orchard, DE, and Bruce A. Kandler of Spring City, PA; four grandchildren, Brandy, Dustin, Skylar and William; and one great granddaughter, Hazel.
At Donald's request, there will be no services. The family requests memorial contributions be sent to The American Legion, P.O. Box 1954, Indianapolis, IN 46206.
