Donald L. Scheirer, age 81, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at home surrounded by his family. He shared 60 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Pauline Theresa (Natale) Scheirer, until her passing on February 27, 2026. Born on November 20, 1944 in Phoenixville, he was the son of the late Sherwood G. and Catherine E. (Lyle) Scheirer.

Mr. Scheirer was a 1962 graduate of Phoenixville High School. He went on to receive his associates degree in mechanical engineering from the I.C.S. Center for Degree Studies. He began his career at Universal Machine & Engineering Corporation in Stowe in 1968. He served as a project manager beginning in 1978 until his retirement in 2008. Following retirement, he continued to keep himself busy by working at Spring Hollow Golf Course, assisting with property maintenance.

As an avid golfer, Mr. Scheirer achieved a hole-in-one at Spring Hollow Golf Course. He was a faithful Philadelphia Phillies fan, and he enjoyed playing billiards and watching golf on television.

Mr. Scheirer could oftentimes be found tinkering and fixing anything, including disassembling and reassembling products just to learn how they worked.

Most of all, he cherished the time he spent with family, and especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Scheirer is survived by two children, Lisa M., wife of Anthony Snaith and Donald D., husband of Amy Scheirer; four grandchildren, Alexandra Snaith, Kaylee Scheirer, Andrew Snaith, and Paige Scheirer; three great-grandchildren; a brother, S. Robin, husband of Katherine Scheirer; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Scheirer and Douglas Scheirer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, May 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Rev. Wayne Houck. A private burial will follow in the St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM in the funeral home on Thursday morning.
