Obituary

Donald G. Manney, 88, husband of A. Marie (Campbell) Manney, of Phoenixville, passed away on Friday, October 09, 2009, in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Walter H. and Aimee Ruth (Geiser) Manney.

Mr. Manney was a 1939 graduate of Washington High School, Washington, PA. He served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corp. during World War II and was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He was employed as a tire builder at the former B.F. Goodrich in Oaks, and loved bowling and golf.

In addition to his loving wife, Mr. Manney is survived by his daughter, Suzanne M. Manney, of Phoenixville, two sons, D. Thomas, husband of Dotty Manney, of Phoenixville, and Bruce C. Manney, husband of the late Mary Beth Manney, one brother, John Manney, of Phoenixville, eight grandchildren, Christine, Michael, Bruce, Matt, Bryan, Josh, Sarah, and Anne, and four great-grandchildren, Jacquelyn, Sam, Colin, and Olivia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Morris Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
