Obituary

Donald J. Moore, 74, of Schwenksville, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 13, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born on September 18, 1947, in Norristown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Emma (Robbins) Moore. He was the loving husband of Virginia Clark-Moore.

Don honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Donald was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and the Air Medal. After his time in the service Don went to work as a draftsman for Control Data Corporation, where he worked for 18 years. Following Control Data Corporation Don worked in childcare at St. Gabriel’s Hall, where he was employed for 30 years. Don also worked as a school bus driver for Custer’s Garage. He loved seeing the students everyday and the camaraderie amongst his colleagues.

In his free time Don loved spending time with his grandkids. He also enjoyed attending outdoor concerts at the local township’s parks with his wife. He was very outgoing and made a point to welcome home all veterans he met. Don was an avid sports fan. He was also a lifetime member of Friendship Hook and Ladder Fire Company.

In addition to his wife Ginny, he is survived by his daughter; Sherry Pryor, stepson; Daniel Clark, sister; Joann Moore, grandchildren; Ryan and Sydney Pryor, and his beloved dogs; Bandit, Jellybean, Cricket, and Gryphon.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22, from 10am-11am at the Limerick Garden of Memories Chapel, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick. A funeral service will begin at 11am, officiated by Andy Duncan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Fisher House Foundation, an organization providing services to veteran families while their loved one is hospitalized.
