Donald W. Peragallo, 88, husband of Carolyn (Elwell) Peragallo, of Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2019. Born on July 13, 1930 in Hoboken, New Jersey, he was a son of the late Violet (Rosenbauer) and Dominic Peragallo.

Donald served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was a graduate of New York University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business. Donald enjoyed a long career with R.H. Donnelley, which took him to Italy, London and back to Manhattan.

Along with his wife, Donald loved to travel the world. After all, they met in Bermuda, married in Italy, and lived in London. They returned to the U.S. where they lived in Manhattan and Connecticut, and later settled in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania where he loved his home on Valley Forge Mountain. They were extensive travelers who especially enjoyed cruises and time in Europe.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Phoenixville Country Club, where he had shot a hole-in-one last summer, at the age of 88! He loved to arrange poker games with his buddies and enjoy a good cigar while doing so. Donald had also been a member of the Euclid Lodge Free Masons, New Jersey and the King of Prussia Rotary Club, King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.

Donald was a huge history buff, excelled at the New York Times crossword puzzles and he loved to read. He especially loved jazz and opera. He enjoyed cooking, with pastas and soups as his specialty. He enjoyed Manhattans and cherished time spent with his countless friends. Donald was a phenomenal husband, father, and grandfather, adored by his entire family. Many have said "To know him was to love him."

In addition to his wife, Mr. Peragallo is survived by his children: Andrew J., husband of Marla Peragallo, of Highlands Ranch, CO and Kris Block, fiancé of Aaron Lawson, of Chesterbrook, PA; four grandchildren: Ryan, Tyler, Jack and Alexandra; and brother: Roy, husband of Joan Peragallo, of Franklin Lakes, NJ.
