Donald A. Robbins, Sr., age 85, husband of Mary E. (Ronk) Robbins, of Turnersville, New Jersey, formerly Skippack, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in his residence. Born on October 19, 1935 in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Emily (Eisenberg) and Edward Robbins.
A graduate of Bridgeport High School, Donald had been employed as a technician for AT&T. In his youth, he pitched and played baseball, and later on coached for the Conshohocken Little League. He was a passionate sports fan and an avid golfer. Donald was an active member at Faith Bible Fellowship Church, in Harleysville, where he served as an usher and held various other positions.
In addition to his loving wife, Donald is survived by his children: Donald A., Jr., husband of Karen Robbins, of King of Prussia, PA, Christopher, husband of Lisa Robbins, of Gilbertsville, PA and Renee, wife of Nicholas Vance, of Gilbertsville, PA; step-children: Tina, wife of James Horsey, of Hammonton, NJ, Lisa, wife of Randy Connolly, of Colorado and Tom Wise, companion of: Paula Scholl, of Birdsboro, PA; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister: Emma Manzi.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, funeral services will be held privately at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford, Pennsylvania.
