Doris F. (Long) Harris, 83, wife of the late Jimmie Glen Harris, of Douglassville, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2016 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born on March 10, 1933 in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Bertha (Nuse) and Campbell Long, Sr.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Mountain View Chapel, in Douglassville, since the Church's beginning. She was a Sunday School teacher for over 46 years. Doris enjoyed gardening and watching wild birds.
Her family was her first and foremost priority and along with her husband always put their family first. Doris was very active in the lives her grandchildren. She enjoyed time spent with her pomeranian, Foxy.
Mrs. Harris is survived by daughters: Virginia, wife of the late Frank Hovanec, of Douglassville and Elizabeth A., wife of David Daniels, of Lebanon, TN; son: Lynn R. Raser, of Douglassville; granddaughters: Angela E. Epps, Amanda F. Daniels and Alysia A. Raser; grandsons: Donald C. Epps and Derek C. Daniels; great-granddaughters: Ashley Epps, Kelsey Epps-Ortiz, Hannah Epps, Samantha Epps, Bella Daniels and Casey Rothenberger; great-grandsons: Alexander Epps-Ortiz, Daniel Ortiz, Clayton Daniels, Eldon Baldwin, Cory Rothenberger, Graceson Baldwin, Chase Attkisson and Landon Daniels; one sister; and one brother. She was preceded in death by four siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Officiating will be the Pastor Chris Eshleman. Interment will be held privately in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spring City. Friends will be received from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
