Dorothea M. (Weber) Khan, 73, wife of Albert J. Khan, of Royersford, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2019 in Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, East Norriton, Pennsylvania. Born on February 19, 1946 in Waldstetten, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Theresia (Frei) and Albert Weber.

Dorothea emigrated with her family from Germany to the United States when she was 9 years old. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Temple University. Shortly afterwards, she met her husband, Albert. She was employed as a caseworker for over 20 years for Montgomery County, most recently working in the mental health area before her early retirement in 2002 due to health issues. She kept a special place in her heart for the children she served and would often spend evenings and weekends researching additional funding and opportunities for her cases even where traditional funding wasn't available.

Dorothea enjoyed gardening and flowers. She also enjoyed watching food and travel TV shows. She loved to discuss her youth in and travels to Germany where she would visit with family. Most importantly, Dorothea was dedicated to and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She often could be found picking up this or that for the next birthday or Christmas for the grandchildren throughout the year.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Khan is survived by her children: Elisa M., wife of Edward Scott McKay, of Schwenksville and Michael J. Khan, husband of Meredith Smith, of Nazareth; four grandchildren: Ross, Gillian, Mia and Lillian; and sister: Gabriele Weber, of Jeffersonville.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial mass at St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Alessandro Giardini. Friends will be received from 9:15 am - 10:15 am Tuesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothea's name to either the American Stroke Association (https://www.stroke.org/ ) or the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation - MMRF).
