Dorothy C. "Dottie" (Castelli) Faggioli, age 94, of Collegeville, PA, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 in the Markley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Norristown, PA. Born on October 15, 1931 in Ardmore, PA, she was a daughter of the late Cristianziano and Jennie (Cellini) Castelli.
Dottie was a 1949 graduate of Lower Merion High School. She worked as a telephone operator at Bell Telephone after marriage, and focused on tending to her home and family once the children were born. As the children grew older, she went on to work for Gehris Buick in Ardmore and Kirschner Brothers Oil in Haverford. Dottie finished her career as a clerical assistant for Montgomery County in the Bid Contracting office, where she would retire from.
Dottie was an avid reader and she enjoyed knitting and completing crossword puzzles,. Through reading and her own inquisitive mind, she was also fascinated with history, and could discuss many different historical topics.
Most importantly, Dottie loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Dottie is survived by two children, Diana, wife of Francis Mascaro and Gary, husband of Janet Faggioli; six grandchildren, Jenny, Paul, Matthew, Marin, Jasmine, and Rebel Anthony; four great-grandchildren, Madeline, Devan, Sophea, and Luciana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Faggioli, Jr.; two brothers, Joseph Castelli and Emidio Castelli; and her former husband, Robert A. Faggioli, Sr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service in the Saint Denis Roman Catholic Church, 2401 Saint Denis Lane, Havertown, PA19083 on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Fr. Jim Cardosi. Burial will follow in Ss. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM in the Church on Wednesday morning.
