Dorothy M (Keller) Ewing, 86, widow of Robert L. Ewing, of Linfield, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2008, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.? Born in Pottstown, she was a daughter of the late George Keller Sr. and Anne (Kienle) Keller.?
Mrs. Ewing was a 1941 graduate of Pottstown High School.? She was employed at the former Mrs. Smith's Pies and Valley Forge Flag before her retirement as an inspector at the former Publicker's Distillery in Linfield.? She was a member of Linfield U.C.C. where she belonged to the Women's Guild, the Girl's Club, formerly oversaw the nursery, was a Sunday School teacher, and helped with Bible School.? She was also a member of the Pottstown Senior Citizen's Center, loved crocheting, baking, and making candy Easter eggs and Christmas Pizzelles, bingo, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and was a Penn State fan. ?
Mrs. Ewing is survived by daughter, Roxanne L., wife of Harry Leh, Jr., of Pottstown, son, Barry L., husband of Nancy Ewing, of Spring City, sister, Edie Byrnes, of Norristown, brother, George Keller, Jr., of Pottstown, granddaughters, Shawn and Danielle, grandsons, Brian, Jason, and Aaron, and six great-grandchildren.? She was preceded in death by brothers, Irvin and Harry Keller.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at 10:30 AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. James R. Roth.? Interment will follow in the Brownback Church Cemetery, Spring City.? Friends may call from 7-8:30 PM Tuesday evening and from 10-10:30 Wednesday morning at the funeral home.? In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Linfield U.C.C. Memorial Fund, P.O.
