Dorothy Wiand Hall, 96, of Spring City, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2018 in the Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family. Born on November 28, 1921 in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Stauffer and Flora Wiand, and also the loving wife of the late Roy B. Hall.
At a young age, Dorothy was a school teacher in a one room schoolhouse. After that, she toiled on the farm owned by her and her husband.
Dorothy was a dedicated member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Spring City, serving as a Sunday School teacher for 35 years. She also served as the church historian and was on many church committees. Dorothy loved to travel. In her spare time she watched the Philadelphia Phillies and her favorite soap opera “As the World Turns”.
Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Joan Spiece; one son, Harold Hall; and two grandchildren, Marie (Kirk) Casey, and Matthew (Lauren) Spiece.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Ceremony at Bethel United Methodist Church, 952 Bethel Church Road, Spring City, Pennsylvania on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Jacqueline A. Hines. Burial will be held in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Spring City, Pennsylvania. Friends will be received from 10:00 am ‑ 10:50 am Thursday at Bethel United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made to Bethel U.M. Church, and the Ian's Boots Foundation, 1501 Laurelwood Rd.
