Dorothy J. (Folchman) Plunkett, age 89 , wife of the late Francis P. Plunkett, of Pottstown, PA, born in West Chester, PA died late Tuesday evening, July 6, 2010 in the Pottstown Hospital. Mrs. Plunkett had been residing at the Manor Care in Pottstown for the last 6 years. She was a daughter of the late Lawrence E., and Helen I. (Nichols) Folchman. She was a 1938 graduate of the West Chester High School and then received her degree in teaching from the Mansfield College in 1943. She taught for several school districts, beginning in York, PA and ending as a teachers aid for the Owen J. Roberts School District. Mrs. Plunkett was a member of the Brandywine Grange #60 of West Chester for 76 years, and also a member of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing bingo, singing, and making friends while she was at the Manor Care.

Mrs. Plunkett is survived by one daughter. Suzanne H., wife of the late Rodney D. Hutt, of Pottstown, PA, one brother ; Norman L. Folchman Sr., of West Chester , two grandchildren ; Jennifer J. Kubica wife of Kristopher Kubica of Barto, Scott A. Hutt, of Pottstown, several nieces and one nephew. Mrs. Plunkett was pre-deceased by one son; William L. Plunkett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Monday morning, July 12 2010 at 11:00AM. Burial will be in the Birmingham -Lafayette Cemetery in West Chester. Friends will be received on Monday at the funeral home from 10-11AM.
