Dorothy M. (Good) Shaner, 97, a lifelong resident of Royersford, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late William A. Shaner, who died in 1993.
Born in Royersford on June 11, 1918, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Martha W. (Moses) Good. Mrs. Shaner was a homemaker. She also was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Royersford, PA.
She is survived by her children: Matha Valentinuzzi and her husand Silvio, of Royersford and Richard Lee Shaner, and wife Dee, of Virginia; sisters: Eileen Young, of Royersford and Sylvia Leedom, widow of Douglass, of Upper Frederick Twp., PA ; four grandchildren: Christina Scherberger, Christopher Valentinuzzi, Richard Shaner Jr. and Haas Nye; and three great-grandchildren: Will and Sam Shaner and Maggie Nye. She was predeceased by two brothers William and Robert Good.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA 19468. Officiating will be Rev. Janelle L. Krais. Calling time is from 9:30-10:30 AM. Burial will be in Limerick Garden of Memories. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Grace Lutheran Church, 594 Church St. 1st Floor, Royersford, PA 19468.
